comment How to show recently viewed mail as a view/search in Outlook 2010?
Could live locally, just like web history does. I mean, they provide that so you can see recent stuff, why isn't this extended to mail too?

comment Change the default search engine for Firefox's address bar
Before doing the above, to save switching between tabs, do this: CTRL + T which will give you a new tab, then drag this new tab outside of the browser window. Now you can do it side by side

Just for info, for each simultaneous user, allow 4gb of memory. I increased mine by this rule and have xperienced no issues since

comment Reopen recovered docs pane in MS Word 2003?
Even worse, I just tried this method office.microsoft.com/en-gb/word-help/… which totally crashed word, causing some kind of restart which is no longer listing the files I originally was working with. A POX ON YOU MR GATES!!!! etc....

comment Reopen recovered docs pane in MS Word 2003?
I just fired up word and this window does not appear, this despite me selecting the 'want to keep working with these files' option (slightly paraphrased) previously

I already looked at that and it doesn't seem to tell you how to pop that pane/window back open

comment How do I know if I am using the correct drivers for my video card?
Lol, I used the built in Device Manager 'update' facility in WinXP and it totally broke my machine. BSODing on boot. Had to open with a previous 'system restore point' to get it back. Thanks NVidia!!

comment How can I correctly link nested numbering in Word?
Not sure how to do that, under 'numbering' (in styles and formatting) there don't appear to be any options to do this other than things like 'start at x'

comment Faster user switch in Mac OS X
Having to unsleep and then 'switch user' is the worst. Steve Jobs should fix that up before embarking on any cloudscapes. Bizarrely, logging on as one user and then switching appears to be faster than switching directly. I've found by doing that it can take only 30-60 seconds rather than well over a minute using this technique. Also, is there a shortcut key for 'switch user'?

Ok, but you lose your place/view type...there's no way of just somehow flipping a flag?

comment Sharepoint Gantt chart - default view to always show 'today'?
I tried your suggestion which moves the view closer to where 'today' is but it strips off all the other tasks which is somewhat confusing. Alas I don't have control over the MOSS box so I wouldn't be able to implement anything like that.

It will be 2007 that we're using then. Sorry for the confusion.

Interesting to see that the mods haven't closed this as 'subjective'. Heaven forbid there might be more than one 'right' answer....

comment can't use yahoo.co.uk mail with apple mail
Well the 'good news' is that I cannot mark the answer as answer, there is a time delay before this is possible [24hrs?] so others can always jump in with their own 2p/c. Point taken though.
