If it consumes electricity, chances are good that I worked with it or at least know about it. SysAdmin and Programmer, worked with Basic and PHP as well as with Delphi. My current bread and butter is C# and JavaScript. I like to do Commodore 64 development as a hobby and dabbled in XNA for prototyping purposes.

I'm also on Twitter and I have a blog.

comment Does FileVault2 on OSX Lion encrypt bootcamp partitions?
@Hafthor I get blue screens when Windows boots with an encrypted drive, had to remove the HFS drivers. I expect an update is required for this.

comment Unable to play my old DOS games on new laptop?
@Nick From the error message, he's using a 64-Bit Windows. 64-Bit Windows do not support 16-Bit Applications at all, with the exception of certain InstallShield-installers that used 16-Bit stubs. But for 16-Bit DOS Games it's either DosBox or a VM :(

comment Ram limitations on netbooks - How is it done?
It's an interesting questions, because it could very well be that the chipset only supports 2 GB (after all, the memory controller has limits. An older example: The i815 chipset only supported 512 MB RAM, not more, and that was not a slot limitation but a hardware/chipset thing. Of course, could be arbitary to separate the markets)

comment Does Windows Media Center (7 Ultimate x64) support BluRay?
PowerDVD 10 works fine! As BluRay Discs tend to have non-skippable 10 Minute Menus and Intros I might look at your second option :)

@Randolph the problem with Microsoft Marketing is that they consider third party applications :( I know that BluRay works on Windows, just no idea if it works with Windows Media Center.
