comment Unable to uninstall or remove adware “Browser Shop” from browser
These steps worked for me, though HitmanPro's free license expires after 30 days so for most people it's good for one clean unless you purchase it (not saying you shouldn't, just don't expect to use it for free a second time down the road ;)

This worked for me. I'm assuming the link in the accepted answer says the same thing.

comment Windows 8.1 Does not Sleep, but shuts down when lid is closed
I have the same issue. Every plan is set to sleep whether on battery or plugged in. And these are the out of the box plans. I haven't customized them or created new ones.

comment Is there a keyboard shortcut to END an application? (more than just alt+f4)
To elaborate, a Windows application has a method that runs when the application's window encounters an exit program event from the user. Instead of exiting as the user wants, this particular program contains code in this exit method to minimize the application to the notification area instead of exiting as the user requested. This is against Microsoft's design guidelines though it is sadly a common practice. If you're lucky, the application may have a setting somewhere that usually says something like "minimize to tray on exit" that you can disable if you want the application to end for real.

comment The Device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later
Do you happen to be listening to any of the music on the drive as you try to eject? Or perhaps do you have your media program open?

comment How do I make Visio header rows behave like Excel header rows?
For reference the Excel feature you are talking about is "Freeze Panes" (there are two others, "Freeze Top Row" and "Freeze First Column" which do exactly what they say) and is under the View tab in the Ribbon (Excel 2007/2010)
