comment Shared folders and C$
You need to be very careful about deleting any of the $ shares, as these can often be used by both Windows itself and other 3rd party software in order to perform remote maintenance activities. So while you can delete them, you may find yourself breaking something else...

comment What applications, if any, benefit tangibly from more than 4GB of RAM?

comment Can Windows Defrag while Laptop is Closed?
I would also be careful about having the laptop not sleep / do work while the lid is closed, as it is more likely that you would pick the laptop up and move it while the HDD is in motion and potentially do some damage.

comment Is there a real reason to use a screen saver?

comment KeePass: use a key file or a regular password?
You are always going to be at risk if you store your 'password' somewhere (be it on a sticky note or as a key file). So long as you keep the password in your head (and it is complex enough) then you should be better off.

comment Is there a way to duplicate the taskbar across multiple monitors in windows 7?
I think you would need to use one of the newer beta version of Ultramon for it work correctly in Win7

comment Is there a way to SSH or otherwise view an iPhone's files without jailbreaking it?
According to the phonebrowser doco "You can use it with or without jailbreaking your phone, but if you don't jailbreak, you won't get very far! A locked iPhone basically has a small area of folders called a sandbox to work with"
