Output of groups command ad17 is the user which is facing problems in automounting the External USB drives. ad17 : ad17 adm dialout cdrom plugdev lpadmin admin sambashare The other account ajit can automount drives ok. ajit : ajit adm lpadmin admin sambashare

@terdon - Yes I know. But when the device is removed from USB drive, fdisk does not list the sdb ones

VNC Viewer ver 5.0.6 on windows. I am asked to login to the VNC server, where I enter my VNC password i configured on vnc server.

@Frank Thomas I did not see my terminals when I connected to the VNC server. It showed a desktop with a new terminal open in it.
