windows ISO file to use with VirtualBox @DanielAndersson if you still have a genuine license key you can legitimately install it from not-so-trusted sources. There are unmodified ISOs available, which you can check through the publicly visible checksums for the ISO files. |

Building against an older glibc The "other" system is not one I want to use for this. It probably won't work with my new hardware either :( |

SSHD on Windows grawity: Interix hasn't seen a decent update since its release as SUA. It is not included in Windows 7 (it is a seperate download) and it only contains GNU software from the stoneage. Sure, they still have the version from 5 years ago. |

How to install GCC on Windows7 v1.0 is the "release" branch, trunk is recommended by the developers (fastest fixes, some features/fixes aren't in the 1.0 branch). ddk is the MinGW-w64 Driver Development Kit. |

GCC won't work. problem with /usr/local/include why not simply mkdir /usr/local/include? Why is that directory missing anyway? Did you delete it by accident? |

How to install GCC on Windows7 @everyone: seriously, someone asks "how to install something" and you answer with: hey, donwload the source code, set up a complete Unix environment on Windows, and just compile that beast! What on earth were you people smoking? There's enough binary GCC distribution channels to not have to go through that... |
