comment Exchange mail rule triggering on a From address that is a public group
“with specific words in the sender's address” is working — fortunately we have a recent enough version of Exchange. Searching all the headers has too many false positives to be usable.

comment Where are HTTPS Everywhere rules stored in Google Chrome?
@andy Yes, Google has added another layer of annoyance. You need to move the extension outside the Chrome directory and install it from there. I've updated the answer, thanks for reminding me.

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is about running a cross-platform program on Windows and requires Windows expertise to solve.

@DravSloan This seems to be under Windows and not under Cygwin, so file names probably can't contain control characters. I suspect that what's happening is rather that git is outputting ANSI escape characters which the Windows console doesn't understand. Ventsislav: this is the regular Windows console, isn't it? Try in a proper terminal emulator like Mintty or Cygwin's rxvt or Console2 or Conemu. Please run git -c color.status=always status | cat -A and post the output.

comment Two keys in ~/.ssh directory
Either key would work. Whatever problem you're having is unrelated to the keys. This is evident in that bash commands in your original session wouldn't care about the keys. Perhaps a disk failure on the server.

What exact model of computer do you have? If you assembled it, tell us exactly what power supply and motherboard you have, and what else is plugged into the motherboard. If you've made changes to your BIOS settings (e.g. overclocking), tell us exactly what you did.
