New partition still showing old files? You should probably reboot as soon as possible so that some of the internal buffers and tables referencing this disk remain in tact. In general, to prevent problems you should unmount the old disk. Please do reboot now if you have not done so. |

Laptop adapter stopped working. Burning smell Remember what the question stated...."all of a sudden my laptop stops....really hot and kinda burning smell...". Sounds to me like the Adapter is broken but had been working fine and was not overly hot for awhile (i.e. not new). |
