Tried that. I even physically disconnected the LAN. No effect.

Yes. But when the script isn't running, I just find my computer running in the morning and have no idea at what time it woke up.

The original problem showed when I set the computer to standby or hibernate through the usual windows menu. The powershell script is just a measure to display the time(s) of wakeup and put it to sleep again automatically. The script works very well.

I turn off my bluetooth mouse and no key on my keyboard turns the computer on again when in sleep mode. I also have no pets - neither the wanted nor the unwanted variant :-).

Please move this question to superuser.com. Do you actually have a SQL Server installed? If so, which one, with which setup? Don't amend the question here, ask it with these additional details on superuser.

Ventilation is all about airflow, so what you need is some kind of intake and an outlet. Warm air tends to rise, so you generally want your intake near the bottom and the outlet near the top. The ventilation system in your PC should have a similar design, so try to match it with the ventilation holes in your cabinet.

That double clicking doesn't work for me, otherwise it would be a nice solution. I use the modulo function for the same effect.

Tried boot log but see no log file - see last point in my list. Also, don't get any crash dump. Normally after BSOD you see "writing dump..." but here it just reboots instantly. BIOS Reset didn't have any effect either.

But I would like to figure out which file(s) are corrupted, so I can fix them and save my installation without a reinstall.
