Legal issues abou reinstalling notebook software @Richard - because in most countries, warranty on the sales of goods is written in law - unless they can show that you did something to make the situation worse/did something bad on purpose, simply changing the OS or even installing a part will not void any warranty. If they did say so, then you come to a guy like me who will write a technical report and you would be able to take legal action against the company who says otherwise. |

Switches, VLANs and Networks I won't lie though, I was skim reading, this looks very complex - you may want to edit your original question and hopefully more people will be able to answer and help you. |

Switches, VLANs and Networks Bloody hell, I should get a CCIE for answering this question :/ From the original question, it seems like this is much much more advanced/complicated... However, I have set up similar scenarios... I can't easily answer as it is a really advanced topic and I can't take it all in on a Sunday afternoon!, I would say personally (and hopefully I haven't mis-read), I would put a edge firewall at each location and utilise site to site IPSEC VPN, then using the firewalls, you can block services however you want... each location can be locked in/out of resources by group... |

Switches, VLANs and Networks If you don't need them to have access to anything else / no gateways involved, why not just disable the network card all together! Can't get more secure than not connected!... But, again, I really need to know more about what you are trying to achieve |

Access Dynamic Domain Name Via WAN, and while on network Wow... I was on a roll! Should have just said "Your router needs to support NAT Loopback"! I like giving a workaround though and this really gives a good explanation about the alternatives. |

D-Link 323 NAS built-in BitTorrent Client doesn't work @Rakward - There isn't really a specific Google page to go to, it is just basic networking... If you go to Super User chat (link at top of page), and ping me in there (go to lounge, I'm sure someone can ping me/get my attention!) and I can try to help you remotely if you need it. |
