I work in a physics lab where we do research on fusion energy and find industrial applications of high power acoustic cavitation. I write OS X software to visualize output of physics simulations and to automate calculations for spherical systems. I also write programs in Igor Pro to automate experiments, collect data, and visualize the collected data.

I have a long history (since before MIDI) in computer music. I wrote the first commercially available MIDI voice librarian for DOS. It did not make me rich.

I play around a little with OpenCV under OS X.

I used to be in a band called The Universal Steve. We put out two albums: E Pluribus Esteban and Ryer Island.

comment Is it possible to restrict access to public folders in Exchange online?
@Ramhound I have no experience with Exchange but I'm stuck with the responsibility of providing support for it. The thought process of Microsoft's programmers seems to have little correlation with mine. If you can provide a little more information, I'd appreciate it. Where can I find private folders?

@Ramhound I'm trying to avoid copying all her Outlook data to a new account. That has always been painful in the past. Not to mention all the rest of her files and settings.

@Ramhound Yes, when I create a new user it can access HTTPS sites in Chrome.

@GaneshR. I tried making her a power user but it didn't work. I forgot to add that to the list of things I tried. I'll edit to update that.

@Ramhound I don't know anything about importing certificates, but I'll do some research on the Windows Certificate Store and see if that leads anywhere. It sounds like a good lead.

We ended up spending a little extra and getting the E5-2609 (2.4 GHz with 6.4 GT/s QPI). And we got 12 Gb of RAM instead of the 8 Gb we originally planned on. But we got it from Crucial, not Lenovo, which saved us a few hundred dollars.

@Ramhound It may make no sense, but that's on Intel's shoulders, not mine.

Sorry, should have said we are getting an NVIDIA Quadro K2000D in the machine. I added that to the question.
