comment GCC won't work. problem with /usr/local/include
@GWW just because ls printed out a file doesn't mean the file never existed. If he overwrote it ls would produce the same output /usr/local/include. (not picking a fight just trying to justify my sarcasm). Since he didn't specify -f (force) it should have errored if it existed.

3 minutes is long. < 20 seconds unless you have some crazy shell settings.
