...which is all you needed to say. (I'm not the OP btw).

There's no fearmongering beyond what you're reading into it. It's a simple question - "I want to make sure application x has gone. Where does it keep its files?" The question is entirely reasonable, +1.

comment where are the integrated webcam drivers located in windows 7/8?
I would hazard a guess at C:\Windows\System32\drivers. Why are you asking?

"Once in the Resource Monitor, go to the Disk tab, where you can see which processes are accessing your disks" - Isn't this just for hard-disks?

@Pacerier the restrictions are on the file system not on the OS.

comment Configuring a VPN to both act as a client and a server
hand out the IPs it gets from the VPN server -> That's not quite how I was imagining it; I had assumed the dd-rt router is a gateway to the remote VPN. It takes 1 IP from the remote VPN. All traffic sent from the LAN will appear to come from that single address from the remote VPN's perspective.

Of the external VPN? 1. He has the dd-rt router as the only client.

Hi JohnC, can you please clarify where the server part of this comes in? Do you have a 2nd router providing the VPN service on the network? Or is it a functionality of your first dd-wrt router? (Specifically, what do you mean by "using one of the preexisting VPN server capable wired routers"?)
