What mobi readers for PC are there? Thanks. I wasn't aware of the Amazon reader, guess I should have been. I'll try that one. |

How can I get the Windows 7 calculator on Windows XP? Neither of these let you run Windows 7's calculator on an XP machine, as OP asked. |

XP and Windows 7 PCs no longer on speaking terms @HaydnWVN - They have different names. They're on the same subnet (192.168.1.*), and have the same subnet mask (255.255.255.0). I have folders shared with "full control" to "everyone", but that's of little use if the other PC doesn't show on the network in the first place :-(. I might have thought there's something basic missing, but it did work after installation, and I didn't change any of the network settings. Thanks for your thoughts. |

XP and Windows 7 PCs no longer on speaking terms @HaydnWVN - typing the IP address directly in the explorer address bar results in a timeout error (cannot connect). I can ping the other PC, though. |

XP and Windows 7 PCs no longer on speaking terms "solved" by rebooting. I still have the feeling that this is not the proper answer, nor a proper solution. |

Permissions for apps in Windows 7 That's why I say useful for some people. BTW, what's "NP"? Nondeterministic polynomial? Nurse practitioner? :-) |

Permissions for apps in Windows 7 @techie007 - Like I commented to an answer to your linked question: UAC is useful for some people, but for many it's just a nuisance. And like I also said I've never had security problems, on 2 machines running XP, without UAC, for 10 years. |
