comment For missing (.dll) files
You deliberately hide useful information: the "*.dll" instead of the actual filename. Why? Don't you want help?

If you need to place a 5 page text into a cell you're using the wrong tool.

comment How can I increase Excel's graph axis area?
Better yet, resizing the chart area fixed the axis, thanks! (There are ten settings for silly options like "shadow, glow and soft edges", but none for essentials like resizing. Typically Microsoft, shall we say? Also, why show resizing handles that don't work?)

@lupincho - I tried that, but the NoScript button didn't show in the collection to choose from. Thanks anyway.

comment Noscript button missing in Firefox
@Nam - I'm not sure about that. The add-ons manager says NoScript is enabled, so I presume it will be that that blocks the scripts. It's just not visible. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Thanks for your reactions anyway.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of the Amazon reader, guess I should have been. I'll try that one.

Neither of these let you run Windows 7's calculator on an XP machine, as OP asked.

comment XP and Windows 7 PCs no longer on speaking terms
@HaydnWVN - They have different names. They're on the same subnet (192.168.1.*), and have the same subnet mask (255.255.255.0). I have folders shared with "full control" to "everyone", but that's of little use if the other PC doesn't show on the network in the first place :-(. I might have thought there's something basic missing, but it did work after installation, and I didn't change any of the network settings. Thanks for your thoughts.

comment XP and Windows 7 PCs no longer on speaking terms
@HaydnWVN - typing the IP address directly in the explorer address bar results in a timeout error (cannot connect). I can ping the other PC, though.

"solved" by rebooting. I still have the feeling that this is not the proper answer, nor a proper solution.

@techie007 - Like I commented to an answer to your linked question: UAC is useful for some people, but for many it's just a nuisance. And like I also said I've never had security problems, on 2 machines running XP, without UAC, for 10 years.
