Jun 27	comment	Noscript button missing in Firefox @Nam - I'm not sure about that. The add-ons manager says NoScript is enabled, so I presume it will be that that blocks the scripts. It's just not visible. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Thanks for your reactions anyway.

Nov 9	comment	XP and Windows 7 PCs no longer on speaking terms @HaydnWVN - They have different names. They're on the same subnet (192.168.1.), and have the same subnet mask (255.255.255.0). I have folders shared with "full control" to "everyone", but that's of little use if the other PC doesn't show on the network in the first place :-(. I might have thought there's something basic missing, but it did* work after installation, and I didn't change any of the network settings. Thanks for your thoughts.

Nov 7	comment	Permissions for apps in Windows 7 @techie007 - Like I commented to an answer to your linked question: UAC is useful for some people, but for many it's just a nuisance. And like I also said I've never had security problems, on 2 machines running XP, without UAC, for 10 years.
