comment How do I stop urxvt adding a '+' when the line wraps
Blast from the past ;-) - yep I had added the change to muttrc in Nov 2010.

comment Are there any project status/dashboard applications for github?
So I have set up a mirror of the github repository which displays a cgit summary. However it would be nice to see pull activity as well.

comment Is it possible to launch an instance of Chrome/Chromium which is isolated from the rest of the system?
@Ramhound yeah but to use a tool like Valgrind I need to launch it within the Valgrind VM, you can't attach it to an already running process. There are also many additional processes involved.

comment Is it possible to spawn an ssh-agent for a new tmux session?
@Thor: I was wondering what was going on, I think the editor was inserting a space because the link was so long...

Any particular reason your not using the tools for this, even if your just running a script post install? For example how are you ensuring shaddow is correctly setup?

comment Please comment on Hackbench performance on my embedded Linux device
Indeed. Micro-benchmarks are useful for tracking changes made to a system and testing new code. They are not a substitute for testing against real use-cases and profiling the result.

comment Should I choose an AMD/ATI card of NVidia card if I want open source in a dual boot setup
Crossfire/SLI are card bonding technologies aren't they? I fairly sure that would just be too much GPU power for our needs :-)

comment In a multicore system, will each cpu have its own linux kernel?
There is of course the addition of per-cpu variables for things that are only relevant to running on one core.

I'm not so sure, this question is fairly fundamental to the nuts and bolts of kernels. I'd be minded to keep the question here.

Your right, that doesn't trigger it. I suspect I've blamed the wrong program as it's something I only really see with long URLs in my mail client.

TERM is set to "screen" as I'm running a screen session inside. However without entering a screen session TERM=rxvt-unicode I get the same effect. I'm running under Gnome, but using urxvt as it handles UTF-8 better than gnome-terminal does.

comment Why does M-RET become C-M-j
It seems to be a gnome-terminal thing as if I use rxvt I can get M-RET to work fine. I've also been unable to reset gnome-terminals default character encoding to UTF-8 but I think that is unrelated to the keybinding issue. In terms of layout I have it set to Microsoft Natural and a remapped Caps-Lock->Control.
