comment bash: colorized man page
This: "for name [ [ in [ word ... ] ] ; ] do list ; done" makes more sense now, in color... 8-)

You gotta be kidding me... this is just great! Where is this stuff documented? I looked in the BASH and LESS man pages but could not find the LESS_TERMCAP string.

comment How to echo commands in a bash shell script, but not execute them?
Thanks. This is a good start, but as you mentioned, it does not let me see the actual flow - where in my real script I have a loop over a list of remote hosts.

Thanks. I mentioned that option in my question, but it does not really solve my problem.

comment How to echo commands in a bash shell script, but not execute them?
Thanks. It would surprise me if there is a way, exactly due to the reason you mentioned, but I decided to give it a try anyway. The reason for this is that I am developing a script that moves files across many machines in a network and performs some actions on the remote hosts. I'd like to see a flow of the script before actually committing the changes to the filesystem(s). It would be just as tedious to go over all the remote machines to correct file errors...

Thanks. I am using the default theme anyway. I was actually about to play with the profile, but it looks like right now (after a couple of restartings) it behaves fine, so I'll give it a chance, while restoring the addons one by one.

On my machine it corrects the string back to ="HAS" as I type it...

I agree that most of the time the default behaviour is fine. However, I hate being forced to use some moron's style. I'd rather have the option to make my document ugly and unreadable ;-)

Your answer pretty much covers my counter-arguments, so I am sure you guessed why I insist on solving the problem. Specifically, I want to number the formulae and maybe add a short comment to its side. If I could give 2 upvotes here I would, just for the context menu trick for the limits. Through that menu I was able to stretch the Sigma sign so it looks better. Unfortunately, it does not allow me to change the position of the limits themselves.

Thanks, Andreas. {when writing the question, I clicked on a suggested link to your question and from there to a couple more and I kinda thought we share the same agony for struggling with the "new" editor}

comment Can I use a Siemens SL2-141 DSL Modem-Router as a hub/AP?
I am doubtful as I used the cables that came with the router and modem. Or, are you suggesting that I should have used the other type of cable?
