Great on a touchscreen. On the other hand, with the keyboard, Win+up, Win+down, Win+left, Win+right do fill half the screen, maximize, restore, minize.

comment Search box in Chrome
If Google Chrome can't do that, maybe Autohotkey (which is Windows only) can help you. Anyway I prefer to use just Google Browse By Name

I suggest every browser should support this feature!

comment How to stop animated gifs in Google Chrome?
Actually I wish all browsers would support something like this option: stop animated gifs (and flash) by default but make it possible for the user to tell if the gif is an animated one or not, and provide a way to start the animation (or the flash) manually (maybe a clicking on the gif). In short, stop animated gifs and flash by default but with graceful degradation. Remote Desktop Connection users and anybody who's annoyed by seizure inducing ads would be glad to see this feature realized!

comment how to stream audio and video files, but use any media player on Windows (without using Windows file sharing)
I'm using Hamachi now. One thing that I found helps performance is disabling compression (implying a third person can see the traffic, which can be bad).

Linux file browsers (for example Nautilus) manage to make remote files over ssh behave like local files, but Windows Explorer doesn't seem to do that.
