I am a computer science student. I currently work as a developer at a shop that uses mostly Perl for web applications.

Ya know, now that you mention it. I have noticed those locks. I was wondering where the hell those came from! I haven't noticed any problems but I haven't researched what they mean.

comment Corrupted tooltips on Windows 7
ATI Radeon HD 4600. I've tried reboots and system restores to no avail. At this point I think I'm gonna hand it off to our IT staff, they don't like it when even the technically minded among us open up our machines. I just hate having to ask them to do things. =/ If I find out what is the problem, I'll make certain to post heh.

According to my robocopy (win7sp1), the default copy behavior doesn't copy Security, Owner, and Auditing info. Why would we not want to use /copyall flag?

comment How can I make a vpn network login the default behavior for logging into Windows?
Although that is true, to have internet access I must authenticate on the VPN. If I can force it to reconnect every time that'd be great. Single-sign-on and all that jazz :)

Well, this sort of works. Unfortunately, I still have to go select the network login on the bottom-right of the login screen. I was hoping to have this actually be the default user login prompt. I don't believe its sufficiently intuitive as it stands right now.

I will double-check this to see if I missed something in your instructions.

No, I don't believe that is what I'm looking to answer. I've updated my question to hopefully be more clear.

comment How could I keep my vim environment when ssh-ing between accounts on the same machine?
Very interesting that it can do that, but in this particular case I need to be able to compile and deploy modifications. But I'll definitely keep it in mind. Neat!
