comment If FAT32 has a 4 GB file size limit how was I able to copy my 13 GB iPhoto Library file onto this drive?
I have since learned that the iPhoto Library is only treated as a single file in the file system UI, when in reality it is a folder with many files inside. You could add this to your answer and it will be complete.

@Informaficker Yes it is FAT32, I have checked with both Windows (with which I originally formatted it) and Mac. It turns out that OS X only treats the iPhoto Library as a single file in the UI, in fact it is a folder with many files inside.

comment How to get Firefox to stop asking me to upgrade?
Also if you want to use a specific version of Firefox I found that it was necessary to disable my internet connection after initial install so I could change this setting prior to the update automatically happening.

comment Running multiple versions of Firefox
Also note that Firefox will auto-update when you launch it so if you want to turn it off you should disable your internet connection the first time you launch it so you can get into the settings before it tries. Had this problem before.

Of course I don't want to watch it in real time, reading a log would be the only sensible thing. Thanks for the info!

As someone who doesn't have tor and isn't running Ubuntu, I'm curious as to what it shows such that you know it's working.
