comment Unable to compile with GNU Emacs
After you change the environment variable PATH to include the 'c:\path\to\mingw\bin' which includes the 'make' program, restart emacs and give it another go. Also. You could evaluate `(setenv "PATH" (concat "c:\path\to\mingw\bin;" (getenv "PATH")))' from the scratch to remove the need to restart emacs. If this comment solves your problem I will turn it into an answer.

Ah yes, I see it now. This feature was added in OfflineIMAP 6.3.4! I have been playing with the debian squeeze stock OfflineIMAP, which is currently 6.2.0.

I am currently tinkering with OfflineIMAP, it looks like it may do my job if I run a local IMAP! I can't find any examples of turning it between a uni-directional and bi-directional configuration, I don't even know what the default is; the documentation on this appears weak. Any insight?

comment Install GNU Emacs GUI in Fedora
'GNU emacs' and 'xemacs' are two different programs (forked many years ago). I do not know the solution (not being a Fedora user) but I know this is not it.

comment How can I sync Emacs with Google Calendar and Contacts?
@Nifle "What can emacs do with that information?" What part of calendar and contact syncing is odd? you can use emacs as a diary/agenda and a mail client. Why wouldn't you want your calendar and contacts to sync?

comment how to change frame width in emacs?
No, C-x { to make the window narrower and C-x } to make it wider (note that C-x { is: CTRL+x then SHIFT+[) Works perfectly well, you can also pass numeric arguments to it to change the amount it moves, see here: gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Arguments.html
