comment MacBook Pro can't reinstall, help
See, Windows is a virus that can harm your computer. But in any event, you have to choose "Macintosh HD" to boot after holding "Option". If that doesn't work - locate your OS X recovery CD, or installation CD, and boot from CD to recover. Do not delete any partitions or say good bye to your data. Just in case you have Time Machine backup drive, you can choose to restore the whole system image, and it will probably be like 20 minutes old system since you last used it.

comment Updating BIOS for Linux
Start with your motherboard's user manual. They usually provide BIOS ROM updates, required utilities and detailed instructions. Linux can only help you to write data to flash drive or something like that, you don't need to be an expert in Linux to do that.

comment How to make an image of a bootable flash drive without wasting space (as with dd) on Ubuntu
Is it likely that ext3/ext4 will fill empty space with zeroes? I have a feeling that it is not so, but have nothing to back it up but performance considerations.

comment Why does Album Cover Art Downloader (Linux) not find any album cover art?
It will be migrated automatically once at least five people vote to migrate it (see that "close" label with count?). Just make sure you follow the link once it has migrated to check out answers.

comment Why do we include a $ in Linux folder names?
@user761350: No. And CVBLOLB is not a directory, it is a variable.
