Additionally, while this may be a useful troubleshooting option, you should be sure to revert the UAC changes when you're done.

Seems to me more of a Super User problem than Information Security. I'm recommending migration - please don't cross-post.

The UAC prompt is a bit different, and generally much more specific, than the dialog displayed here. Additionally, it should not be engaged simply by attempting access to the Internet.

comment PowerShell loads much slower than CMD; Can the PS startup be optimized?
@Synetech You might want to just get used to it. In newer versions of Windows, CMD won't be an option.

comment Command to see what version of HDMI
@EBGreen I ran the command you suggested, and that does not appear to have the information Moab is looking for. It's simply a list of supported screen resolutions, color depths, and refresh rates. Moab is looking for the supported HDMI Versions.

I was thinking WMIC or Registry, if anything. Perhaps searching WMIC with PowerShell might help, if it's there. I agree with @Keltari though, that this is probably not a function that will be built-in to Windows. If at all, it's probably only available through your device vendor's drivers and/or configuration software. If you're really lucky, you might be able to dig it up in some vendor-specific Registry key - but this will not likely be a solution that is widely applicable.

comment How to enable Internet Connection Sharing using command line?
Can't try this just now, but you might want to try running Process Monitor and pointing it at your Registry. See what keys/values change when you toggle & apply the setting, then write your script accordingly.

comment How can I ping a range of IP addresses simultaneously
@WilliamHilsum Yeah, that is one downfall of PingInfoView I'm hoping Nir will fix some time. The feature is available in some of his other tools, like FastResolver. The only NirSoft tools I've had problems with in regards to AV are those which are related to password cracking/recovery.

comment Can't enable Remote Desktop in Windows Firewall?
Remote Desktop should automatically open the hole in Windows Firewall for you, once enabled. Are you running another firewall/security program? Is this a personal computer, or part of a corporate network?
