Why don't other laptop manufacturers use a charger like Apple's `MagSafe'? Maybe because Apple MagSafe patent doesn't describe shape, but mechanics of the connection. MagSafe patent clearly states "Magnetic connector for electronic device", so it is quite wide description. I think this stops other manufacturers from using it. Also I wouldn't be suprised if Apple even didn't want to sell license for MagSafe to them |

Emulating a Serial Device on OS X I've been using macosxvirtualserialport to emulate serial port. Are you sure that you're setting baud rate correctly? It should be visible without any problem. CuteCom is just terminal, sorry for misguiding. |
