C# developer in Cincinnati, OH.

I try to specialize in WPF, and have a passion for good object oriented design. I also have done a moderate amount of web development on the side.

comment Will an executable moved to another directory still work?
While the executable may work, in Windows at least, since uninstall information is written to the registry, these paths will be incorrect and trying to uninstall the application will result in an error and Windows just deleting the entry from the list. It's usually not a good idea to move the directory.

comment Can I copy my operating-system on an USB-stick to use it in the go?
@Dynamic: No. Windows installs based on your hardware, and moving it to another computer gives a blue screen, mostly on purpose (security of copying windows installations)

It's the equivalent of doing a Live CD boot off of a USB stick. Your biggest issue will be that it'll be slow to boot, and possibly slow to run.

comment Vista and shoutcast compatibility
It looks like there's no true question here. Shoutcast doesn't support Vista or Win7, only 98 - XP. Although it's interesting to see that they'll still support Windows 98 but not Vista. Judging from that alone, I wouldn't expect any quick results.

comment Do disabled Firefox extensions make Firefox slower?
An extension can also be disabled because you disabled it. I disable extensions that I haven't used in a while all the time, while leaving them installed, just so when I do need them later, they're there but not slowing down the browser in the mean time.

comment RAM, Processor, L2Cache, Etc. - What gives you the most “Bang for your buck”?
Depends on the existing machine as well. A machine with 6GB RAM might not get much if any "bang" from an additional 6GB RAM.
