comment Installation strategies for Windows 10 on a 32Gb netbook
Thanks for your response. I ended up returning this machine to the shop because of an unrelated issue so I am unable to corroborate either of conflicting answers. If a third party were to post support a a detailed answer or an informed comment corroborating one of these answers I will gladly accept the answer.

@MarkCraypo Thanks for your answer here. A family member has taken the machine away on vocation and it will be two weeks before I can corroborate this.

comment VirtualBox virtual drive actual size not increasing
I have the same problem. I expanded using resize & gparted. In my VM settings it says, "Virtual Size: 100Gb, Available Size: 29.66Gb", but in my Centos7.0 VM df –h gives: "/dev/mapper/centos-root 28G 26G 2.4G 92% /"

comment VirtualBox: Start tag expected, '<' not found
On Windows XP, I found the file in "C:\Documents and Settings\username\.VirtualBox\Copy of VirtualBox.xml-prev" and copied it to "C:\Documents and Settings\username\.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml" .
