comment How do I add a number at the end of every line in Notepad++?
This may not be practical for 23,000 lines (too slow or otherwise (memory problems due to Shlemiel the painter's algorithms?)). Have you actually tried it on 23,000 lines?

comment Controlling how UltraVNC handles Alt + Tab
UltraVNC Viewer Usage, section "Additional Hotkeys", supports the claim about Scroll Lock. But is it still valid for contemporary versions?

comment Controlling how UltraVNC handles Alt + Tab
This might be true for UltraVNC, but it has no effect for TightVNC 2.7.10 (TightVNC for both client and server).

Regarding "Active Directory Users and Computers... ": Is the file name really "users and computers.msc" (with spaces)? Or is it two files, "users.msc" and "computers.msc"? Or something else?

This works! At least on Windows 7 the file is deleted immediately, without needing a restart.

Agreed. I do this as well and have never experienced any ill effects (even though it is officially discouraged).

comment Do I need hiberfil.sys if I only use “Sleep” on a Windows 7 instance that's on an SSD?
It works! I just reclaimed 4 GB on an old system (but still Windows 7) that was low on disk space. hiberfil.sys was deleted immediately, without any need for a restart.

comment Windows 8.1 powering off USB Drives
According to the updated reference, this is no longer required - "The registry workaround described in this blog is no longer required. A major Windows update published on 2014-04-08 reverts the USBSTOR.SYS driver behavior to 8.0."

comment How to search the content of 7-Zip archives (.7z)?
Yes, this works, and it is quite fast, especially if there is not a lot of matches. But the folder where 7z.exe lives must be in PATH, for example C:\Program Files\7-Zip. However, it does not search the content of files, only the file names and thus does not answer the question.
