What is the name ('label') of the drive? Make sure it doesn't contain any space. Your fstab line seems fine.

comment Does RAID1 increase performance with Linux mdadm?
Using RAID10 far2 (or offset) you can have good performances (>1 disk in read speed with differing results for random reads), see: ilsistemista.net/index.php/linux-a-unix/… for details.

Just use tcpdump to capture the pcap file (-w file.pcap) and open it with wireshark running as a regular user.

Here is a link to free Windows virtual machines in VirtualPC format, which can be converted to vbox for example): microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11575 You can freely use them to test said applications without cluttering your own install.

comment Reiserfs partition data recovery (success)
Testdisk only modifies your partition table, data won't be touched so yes, you can do it safely. If the result is not what you want you can always try another similar tool and recover your files.

comment How to cd into smb://user@100.100.100.100 from terminal?
yep, you have to specify an 'endpoint' ("SHARENAME") which is the name of the share you can see in your GUI file browser and adapt "USERNAME" (maybe even add your domain before that) to be able to mount the share.

@Ramhound I wasn't talking about PST format for which some of the specs are available but about Outlook for which nobody can do anything to force it to rotate its PST files.

comment Efficiently backup PST Outlook files?
Don't count on microsoft to implement sane solutions like rotating the PST files, that's not their best point and thanks to proprietary software nobody can do that for them.
