@DavidSchwartz: I get "Server not found" on Firefox. The ISP's DNS servers and gateway are not ping-able. The static IP is not in the range of the DHCP range of the router.

Thanks for your suggestions! My monitor has a DVI port, I will try with a DVI cable first. Also, this yellow tint happens after I use the computer for 3 to 4 hours. The computer hangs with crazy colors on the monitor and I can only use it in safe mode. However, if I turn it off for 3 or 4 hours, the problem disappears for some time. So I guess it may not be the cable - I'm using the same cable for the integrated video card now. But I will try this first and will get back with my results.
