comment How can I remap Control+e to Escape+Control+e in iTerm2?
Thanks @Daniel. I am trying to get the hex codes for other key combinations (C-M-<char>) in this thread, but it isn't clear to me what those hex codes would be. Your input on that thread would be extremely helpful

comment Why all Emacs packages can suddenly become unsigned and obsolete
Thanks Sergey. I am having he same exact problem. What was the specific Elisp command that you run to solve the problem ? (e.g. what did you set package-archives to?)

Thanks. What about sampling rate and # of bytes per second? How does ffmpeg choose these automatically?

comment Extracting subclip from a .webm file with ffmpeg
Thanks! I thought ffmpeg would automatically transcode it if it has to. Do I need to download/build a particular codec to do this? Where I can I find it?

comment Multiple email addresses on the same CC line in Thunderbird
Really? Not for me. Addresses don't autocomplete and the email address is shown in red (as when I type an email address that is not valid)

comment “Maximizing” a pane in tmux
+1. This works great but it's a fraction of a second (~0.8s) slower than @Ryan's answer above, at least on my system. Not a big deal, but I wonder if there is a way to make it faster

Thanks, I didn't set up any shared folders. I haven't touched that feature since my last installation.

comment VirtualBox bidirectional clipboard sharing stops working after some time
Thanks. this is indeed helpful. Unfortunately I am unable to restart or stop the service. If I try to stop it, it complains with Cannot umount vboxsf folders, whereas if I try to restart it, it complains with Cannot change owner vboxadd:1 for device /deb/vboxguest. In both cases it prints that the service I am attempting to stop or restart is the VirtualBox Guest Additions`, so I am probably heading in the right direction.

The only commands completing /etc/init.d/vboxadd are vboxadd, vboxadd-service and vboxadd-x11

comment Windows Key believes it's pressed randomly
I use Virtual Box (I have it constantly open) and always thought the problem is related to what you describe. I share your skepticism on finding a solution to this, but I thought I would try here. What puzzles me is that pressing the windows key a few times resets the status of the key. Perhaps I am wrong, but if the OS could poll the modifier keys every now and then, the problem could go away. It looks like all it would have to do is check if the physical key is pressed..

@TomWijsman, yes, to some extent. I have updated my question.

comment Draw 3D vectors
@itun, what do you mean by "its not full of 3D graphics operations"? The language provides a set of primitives that you can use to draw a wide range of 3D objects. Why did you find the code terrible?
