Thankx Dennis I did use finstr/? and actually used your first command and it didn't work. So I double checked and when I was trying different prompts I actually erased the file completely (accidently). Found used command and it worked!!

it's a usb drive. I type dir and all my files come up. I actually know that 1 file is about the "New York" Yankees. Could be a screwed up usb drive ?

sathya, have you not figured out I have just started working with computers in cli format. I'm trying to adjust to this sight and how to ask questions. I am a beginner at best so tr to take that into consideration when being critical or just don't respond.
