Well, it is possible to block only on certain computers, as far as I know. But the answer you just got also looks promising.

Take a look at OpenDNS. It does what you're looking for. It requires your router to support it, but there's a chance your router already does (for example all Netgear wireless N routers do).

Good question, but it may be better on Stack Overflow.

I've always had the same problem on Ubuntu and Mac OS X. I tried and couldn't find a good answer. I'm convinced there isn't one, but I hope someone proves me wrong.

I don't know, sorry. It's definitely possible, but it would depend on the application.

No Time Machine is for backups. I'm talking about Versions. Basically, you never save, and you can go back at any time to see all your changes, even if they were weeks ago. Nifty if you use it.

I know this may not be what you're looking for, but if you're really serious about this, consider getting a Macintosh, as it has this feature built-in (starting with 10.7).

I'm afraid I'm as flummoxed as you are at this point. I hope someone comes along with a proper answer.

Yeah it's not difficult. Just route to your mac from router 2. Although I suspect this may be the case, it could also be nothing. Worth a try though.

Well it's a possibility that the firewall on router 2 is causing the connection to be blocked.

comment Mac App Store, install to dock instead of launchpad
@finiteloop Well I though you meant bloated as in it's used for too many functions. But yes, I agree with you there. And if you have your applications folder on your stack, you can access all of your installed apps just like launchpad, but in a much less intrusive way.

Do you have the firewall on router 2 turned off?
