comment Windows, never “lose focus” of the current window
:) We do know how, but it's not rewarding since when you get done, you just have a fancy hack... with solitaire and notepad. There are better things out there to play with. (Not Being snotty can garner answers too). Hack it yourself! This is 2014, don't you know how?

comment Kill processes and programs in windows instantly
Perhaps someone could post a link to the reasoning given to discourage kill -9 type program exits? You're not giving the program a chance to exit gracefully, risking corruption, left over files, blood, gore, just messy. "Takes too long"? You're in that much of a hurry? Wow.

comment netbook screen stays black
Perhaps the backlight has burned out/failed. Turn on the unit, then shine a flashlight at the screen, you'll be able to see if there's activity on the screen. Let it run for a moment, it may be trying to perform some cleanup too, since it's been likely booted/rebooted several times unexpectedly.

comment Windows 7 goes 0 bytes/second when moving a file from one hard drive to another
Just leave it alone and let it do the work. Windows touches all the files at the beginning to figure out how much to copy, statistics (and the XX bytes/second display). This can take a while. The key indicator is in the second image... "Calculating..." It's busy trying to do what you asked.

comment Wireless Card Connection Speed
Taking computer to someplace to test another card invalidates the premise that it's the card that's the culprit. Technically. You'd have to prove you only got 5Mbps at their place too. But they've likely got different router/wireless/upstream/etc. Just saying...

comment Share Windows computer internet connection with Raspberry Pi
The RPi does not connect the data lines in the USB micro B connector. It's ONLY for power. Wonderful idea, relatively easily implemented... but won't work because the RPi can't communicate with the USB cable. Best solution is to buy typical 8192 chipset wireless USB adapter and let RPi connect to router wirelessly.

comment Direct errors in find to /dev/null by default
I've always used alias find='find 2>/dev/null', the shell doesn't care where redirections are in the parameter list and removes them as it acts on them, the program (find) never sees the redirection requests.

comment can't delete unknown files (big size 33 Gb), the filename ,directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
But that's a different error, and fixable by remounting the partition rw vs ro. Perhaps search SU/SO for 'mount ntfs partition in linux'.

in linux, use a recursive wildcard rm.... rm -r qqq, or, to remove possible prompting for each file, rm -rf qqq. linux doesn't care about exact names with a recursive rm request. Perhaps deltree in windows?
