Set up two (2) IP addresses on the same network card? We want to have one address assigned by DHCP, and the other statically assigned. The procedure from "Eccentricities of Windows Networking" allows this for XP machines, but not for Windows 7. The itsyourip article you just linked is only good for two or more static IPs, unfortunately. Thanks though! |

Set up two (2) IP addresses on the same network card? Sorry, no. That article talks about a computer with two NICs, but I was looking for assigning two IP address to one NIC, like your original answer. I've used that procedure often on our XP computers with only one NIC, and today I tried to use it on a Windows 7 machine, only to find it unsuccessful. |

Set up two (2) IP addresses on the same network card? Any clue how to do this for Windows 7? I created these entries in the registry (they aren't present by default, which makes me think they may have removed this ability), but still couldn't access the other network after disabling and re-enabling the interface. |

copy a table from pdf as a table? How do you use the PDF Import Extension to copy the table? I can open the PDF document, but I can't select the table to copy it's contents, I can only select one cell at a time. |

Looking for Fast RS-232 or RS-485 Interface Cards for Windows Thanks Xantec, unfortunately, looking at Newegg's customer reviews, the Syba products seem to have a bad reputation. The card you linked to doesn't have signed drivers for Windows 7, and another I found apparently causes Windows 7 / Vista to crash and reboot spontaneously, and Syba's response is that the user should turn off ACPI in BIOS settings, which is not desirable if I'm going to end up supporting this for our less technical users. |
