Yep. I just discovered how it works and thought it might be useful for future googlers!

The update_terminal_cwd function will set the proxy icon to the current working directory. By default $PROMPT_COMMAND is update_terminal_cwd.

comment Tablet-compatible vector drawing app for OS X?
The old version of skitch is still available for download and should work fine. Hopefully they'll bring back the functionality later...

comment Are Unicode characters like MUSICAL SYMBOL COMBINING STEM or RECYCLING SYMBOL FOR TYPE-1 PLASTICS used anywhere for their semantic value?
Neat, thank you. I can't find a list of past proposals that became part of the standard; do you know of such a list?

If demonstrated use is required, is there some public documentation of this process?

More off-topic follow-up: given their limited use, and likely also limited software support, why would the Unicode Consortium choose to include such characters in the standard?

It's in the root directory, named Delete Immediately.service.zip. I put a link on the wiki page too.

@kentcdodds It's sad that GitHub killed the downloads tab! I added a zip file to the repository itself, so you should be able to directly download it from there. See the link on the wiki. Let me know if this works!

comment More detailed report for iTunes “Capacity” bar for iPhone / iPod
Is it still the same phone you're using? I've never experienced this problem, but I've also been trading out for new devices every 2 years or so. In any case, the Usage settings can show you some interesting info — I'm not sure if app documents/data are included in Apps or Other, according to iTunes.

The = sign is not necessary, at least on OS X 10.8.2.

comment Mountain Lion Switcher (Cmd+Tab) not showing all apps
Is it consistent or random? This sounds like an issue I've seen on older versions of OS X before.

comment What causes an HFS+ filesystem to be marked as “dirty”?
I don't believe I've ever done this; I think I'm always careful to eject the disk before unplugging it. How unlikely are any other possibilities?

comment Will all capacitive styluses (for iPad, etc.) work just as well on a MacBook Pro trackpad?
You can download a trial version of Inklet, would you be willing to give it a quick try? I'd love to hear someone's actual experience using the stylus with Inklet before I go out and buy one...

Have you tried it on a trackpad with software like Inklet? It makes the trackpad act like a regular tablet (absolute position, no acceleration). I'd be curious to know if it still feels too low-resolution.

@Tom Zych: I'd never considered the security risk of doing that. Thanks for pointing it out.

comment How do I disable the Command-Control-D word definition keyboard shortcut in OS X Lion?
True. Yes, this is a disappointing behavior. It doesn't really bother me because I actually use control-command-D to look up words.
