It's not reasonable to ask you to switch operating systems, but do know that Linux has virtual memory compression meaning that you can use more RAM than you physically have by compressing certain segments of it with LZO.

comment How does SSD wear-leveling work on software-encrypted drives?
My response before wasn't the clearest. It is recommended to fill your drive space with random information so as to disguise how full your drive is. This practice is what I'm really asking about. It means that your SSD sees the device as totally full and can't TRIM anything, theoretically.
