People think coding is about the user experience. What they forget is that the coder (or coders) involved (now or in the future) are more the user then the end users are. It is easy to make something look good for the client. It takes talent to make the process enjoyable and look good to other coders.
Writing programs is an art.
Quality is more then the end product.

Will the BIOS in an old PC recognise a SATA controller and drive? You mentioned using external USB which "translate the CHS and LBA for you" Does not a SATA controller do this also? Is it true that if the BIOS is limited at 2GB that even a recently purchases PCI SATA controller is also limited by this contraint? I thought the BIOS constraints were based on the onboard drive controllers not add on controllers via the PCI bus. Can anyone confirm this as I do not wish to open a new question for this one bit of confusion! Thanks. |

How do you convert an existing shared drive to Alfresco? No I never did. Had to use it's own directory. Then the project dropped and I never revisited this concept. By the looks of things those who use Alfresco have little need for such a thing and it seems we are the edge cases. Sorry. |
