comment “Limited” wifi on my Windows machine
Formatting your machine is a pretty drastic solution to a networking issue. The fact that you get a connection (even if it is limited) points to a configuration issue rather than hardware. Next time, consider posting here first! ;-) I'd imagine you have a misconfigured wireless connection (maybe with a fixed IP, or broken DNS/DHCP configuration, for example).

comment Converting VS 2008 Coding and VS 2012
I did. I said "open VS2008 manually and use "Open Solution" to load your old project, instead of opening the project from a direct shortcut." Did you try that?

comment Odd networking issue
As this isn't a programming issue, it's offtopic for StackOverflow, and better suited to SuperUser.com. Your question will most likely be automatically migrated in short order!

comment How to browse my local website running on Mac OS X from my guest VMWare Windows 7 machine?
I don't think it matters (and it may not happen - it has to be voted offtopic by five people before it'll migrate). If my answer works then go for it :-)

Downvoters: this question is offtopic, but it's not a bad question: details are good and it shows some level of effort. I'd agree with closing/migrating the question, but I don't think it deserves downvotes.

Joerg: You're getting downvoted/voted to close because this question is offtopic for StackOverflow (SO is for programming questions). However, it's being marked as more suitable for SuperUser, which is a similar site that's more likely to give you a correct answer. I've posted a suggestion below that may help - but the whole thread will likely be migrated to SuperUser shortly!

If they're seeing a 404 error, the server is accessible.

What @Shahzeb said, but: if you click start and type "disk cleanup", this may help reclaim some of your space.
