@Mrchief I just had a chat with support and I'm really not convinced by the answers I got, so I'd like to ask an additional question about this and maybe you can update your answer above with the answer to my question: With a custom archive key, are file names available to anyone with physical access to your storage? Or are they also encrypted on the client?

This is a Wordpress issue. I recommend you rewrite the question and tag it accordingly. Ask what you want to achieve by editing those files, because it should probably be done using Wordpress, so people will be able to tell you what to change in WP to get the effect you are looking for.
