How to stop the obvious spam in messenger without removing contact? What do you mean by "they are all linked together in messenger contacts"? Is it only a link in your client on your side or are the three accounts fundamentally the same? In the first case, you can probably unlink them temporarily, but in the second case I guess that if one account has been hacked them all three are. |

Keeping the fancy sudo warning forever It turns out I could test even without root access and it does not work, sorry for the noise. |

Keeping the fancy sudo warning forever I can’t test right now but does sudo -K followed by any use of sudo give you the fancy message again? The man page is not very precise but it may work. |

Is 'Windows 8 pro permanent activation trick' illegal? Are activated copies of Windows supposed to have an expiration date? What happens at the expiration date? |

Skype silent chat message Probably not. But receiving a message will not disturb him a lot given that the content of the message is displayed in the notification. He will not have to do anything to see that the message is not important (at least this is how it works on Linux, it would be surprising if it was Linux-specific) |

Where does Skype save my contact's avatars in Linux? This does not always work, there are some avatars that are not found and it extracts some broken images. See my answer for a cleaner solution. |

PowerDVD refusing to play Blurays @JohnnyW Perhaps you can try with VLC 2.0.4. You will have to install separately the AACS decoding library and keys (because it’s illegal) but if you’re lucky your disks might be encrypted with one of the known keys. Of course I can’t give a link here but you will easily find the keys in Google. |

PowerDVD refusing to play Blurays @JohnnyW How are you planning to get the new AACS keys? This is already piracy, you are not allowed to have them in your possession unless they are hidden in a proprietary software or hardware player… Moreover if your version of PowerDVD does not have a way to update the keys (I don’t know if this is the case), then trying to update the keys anyway is also piracy. Welcome to the wonderful world of proprietary software and digital rights management. |

PowerDVD refusing to play Blurays I would say: 1) Do not buy proprietary software 2) Do not buy Blurays while the AACS has not been cracked |
