comment How to measure average execution time of a script?
Super simple, love it. I also never saw {1..10} before and am baffled that it works, can't find it in the bash manual. Only sad thing is that you don't know the spread of your results (min and max time).

comment Linux raid10 on btrfs
That said, I just tried and btrfs won't let me create a raid10 with 3 devices. Aww. Ah well.

If you have an odd number of disks, in theory you can have mirrored data too, it just means that a single disk's data will be mirrored to multiple other disks. If you mirror at block level (which btrfs does), then that should not be a problem, right?

comment SSL certificate verification failure in Chrome, Heartbleed bug?
On my phone, there is no reference to entrust.net anywhere. Sorry, I can't cut paste the fingerprint but the sha1 starts with 5f and ends with 25

Err what? For me the top cert is from digicert.com, not entrust.net...

I'm beginning to think you don't have any trusted certs in your key chain any more... Start manually adding the ones that you trust :-)

Click on the first cert and see why it's not trusted. It's still trusted on my phone...

Click on the lock next to the https:// and then you can inspect the certificate chain and see which cert is invalid.

comment faster way to mount a remote file system than sshfs?
@Sparhawk there's a difference between throughput and latency. FUSE gives you pretty high latency because it has to check the filesystem state a lot using some pretty inefficient means. arcfour gives you good throughput because the encryption is simpler. In this case latency is most important because that's what causes the editor to be slow at listing and loading files.

It's not slow because of the encryption, it's slow because it's FUSE and it keeps checking the file system state.
