can one use a different update repository (e.g. packman) for packages originated from SuSE-Repos? How can I force updating them?

comment Samba: Write access rights without read access rights possible?
Windows somehow doesn't like it. I cannot save files in above created "dir", even though I used "\\server\full\path\to\dir\file.txt" in filename box of e.g. notepad.exe (right after adding "+r" to dir's mode with chmod, saving worked again) - too bad.

comment Outlook recurring appointment falling on a weekend
If you set the condition of recurrence to "Friday" (first, second, last, etc.) it won't fall on a weekend, obviously. My attempt was to offer an alternative solution for tasks or maintenance jobs that have to be done on working days once a month. Sometimes you just need to change the point of view you start from…

comment Alternative Bluetooth Stacks for Windows 7 64bit
good guy for working that out! at this state of knowledge, can you tell me if it is possible to use the PC sound device (e.g. speaker, headphone) as a bluetooth headset for mobile phones (to receive calls via PC headset)? That would be very interesting for my setup...

comment Outlook 2010 IMAP account - send on behalf
+1 for beacon me to the clear solution: In Outlook, if you configure an account with an email address, you can send via this address without any problems. That means if the SMTP-server does not require any authentication you can send as whoever you like to be - BUT: You have to configure an account with that identity (name / mail address) before, because if you don't, Outlook will automatically add the "on behalf of"-string to the sender of any mail sent with an identity not registered as an account before.

+1 for showing that this is not a server-related problem (as I guessed before). Thank You!

comment Outlook 2010 IMAP account - send on behalf
Just had another idead: May it be, that the "on behalf"-string is only being attached by MS-Outlook if the outgoing server (SMTP) is on port 25 (no authentication required, no encryption)? Because my IMAP-account at gmail accepts TLS-connections only...

comment Outlook 2010 IMAP account - send on behalf
Well, I tried it today with an external gmail-account (IMAP) and there is no "on behalf of"-string attached... I am confused now! In conclusion, you might be right that the problem is not Outlook-specific, but how could I send a mail under different aliases with Mozilla Thunderbird without any "behalf"-strings then?
