comment Advantages of a 130W vs 90W ac adapter?
@david If the PS with the smaller capacity fails twice as often due to being used near its limits then the large one pays for itself. But you'll only know with testing and looking at failure rates.

comment Laptop overheats, BSOD, turns off when playing games
"inexpensive" laptops will do this more often. The best you can do is keep the air vents clean and unclogged, and make sure there are no obstructions near the vents. May laptops are really designed for "typical" usage, such as writing documents etc. where the can stay on low frequency setting more often.

What's the original problem? Or, why do you need to do this?

@miniBill Can you point me to a reference explaining how Google DNS uses TCP? And how to configure it? Thanks.

You won't be able to do this since most DNS servers don't listen on TCP. It's mostly used only for large zone transfers. Your best bet would be to run a local, caching name server (e.g. dnsmasq) and set up your hosts to use that server.

The window manager can hide windows completely. That's how virtual desktops work. Try a different window manager.

An alternative would be to create a custom launcher that opens all the tabs with places that you wanted. This assumes you always want the same locations

Do you want to stay logged into an interactive session? Or have it also automatically disconnect after the script is run?

I don't think it's possible. The win32 console does not support ANSI escape sequences to color prompts, etc.

comment Linux, how to know the current boot disk
BTW, since you have two disks you might want to just make them RAID 1, and let the OS do the sync/copy operation for you. Then you won't have to deal with it.
