comment How can I save my multiple tabs session in an xfce4-terminal?
An alternative would be to create a custom launcher that opens all the tabs with places that you wanted. This assumes you always want the same locations

Do you want to stay logged into an interactive session? Or have it also automatically disconnect after the script is run?

I don't think it's possible. The win32 console does not support ANSI escape sequences to color prompts, etc.

comment Linux, how to know the current boot disk
BTW, since you have two disks you might want to just make them RAID 1, and let the OS do the sync/copy operation for you. Then you won't have to deal with it.

comment Linux, how to know the current boot disk
Like grawity said. Those names sda and sdb are dependent on the order they are found at boot time. Usually the lower numbered port is sda. So they will change if you swap the cables. sda will then be called sdb, and vice versa. So you can't go by that name to identify them. They need a unique name...

comment Python error In linux
It IS possible to have multiple versions of Python installed on your system. You don't need to remove the original one. Some system management tools are written in it, and you shouldn't touch that Python installation. If installing newer version from source just do "make altinstall" as the final step. Then put as your bangline #!/usr/bin/python2.7 for your scripts.

What kind of friend is that? But you didn't mention what account. Was it root account?

comment Can key loggers exist in Ubuntu, and if so, how can they be detected and removed?
@cYrus That is for X windows, and X runs as root. It's basically acting as a proxy. The actual device node is usually protected from non-root access.
