comment When does Excel decide to overflow text into adjacent cells, or cut them at the boundary?
If any comes by after 20 April 2012, this question is still not answered. I haven't found a consistent behavior to this. If you know the answer, please post and I will set the check on it. Thank you.

I think it does run, but he has to manually translate the high-low voltages into bits using a yellow multimeter.

The "Clear All" in "excel 2010 > home > editing group > clear dropdown > clear all", also clears content. i.e. all cleared cells should be empty, but still it does not overflow, sometimes.

No. I don't want to mark the network location as safe. I want to mark the file as safe.

You were right... in that my file is in a network drive. Hence the warning. But still is there anyway to mark it as safe?

Right click the file in Explorer? Then open up the regular Properties dialog that every file has? I don't see any unblock button. Only the Change Open With button and Advanced attributes button. I am using Windows 7.

A single routine is nice as I am manually CTRL+H now, but all these do not fix the refences for controls e.g. buttons, dropdowns and such; and named ranges.

@WinOutreach4 if two or more sheets are edited by different people on different workbooks, we will want a merge eventually. That's when the problem comes in.

I didn't go to that extent. Just on a network location currently. But it might be more sleek to generate on-the-fly using VSTO excel add-in. Could include a preview pane etc.

the paste special values only paste the calculated values. I need the formulas to be copied over, WITHOUT WBA.xls appended.

comment Copy Excel worksheet and maintain relative cell reference in formulas
I already attempted to explain in my last paragraph, but i think it still wasn't clear. Yes, WBA and WBB are identical expect for one sheet in WBA. While designing that sheet in WBA, it is intended that all cell reference be relative to the sheet's workbook. The copy worksheet function appends all cell formulas with WBA, making it "absolute" and I do not want that.

That is such a dissapointment... thanks for the affirmative. I'm going to wait a few more days before marking as answer though. Hope there's tips and advice.

It's just that... my answer/solution/fix is not perfect as existing files are permanantly corrupted. The "how to revive" was just to ask for a better answer that will preserve existing files. otherwise, most people will come and go, seeing that I answered my own question. anyhow, I strike of that line already.
