comment How can a 80-bit floating point be used by a 32-bit system?
So using 32bit fp in a 16bit system is crazy. Why using 64bit fp in a 32bit system isn't?

No I don't mind so in deep, just curious :) You are talking about memory here... but it will increase the time for the operations? (so the load of the CPU)

But if I use 32bit floating point values into a 16bit system (or 64 bit floating point values into a 32 bit system) it requires only more memory (since it must twice registers)? Or processing the information will add overhead, so will take more time?

I'm curious: using a 80bit floating point (or 64 bit floating point) in a CPU without special registers (such as the ones dedicated to 80bit floating point), just 32-bit lenght, require more time in elaboration? (since it must allocate more registers for doing operations). Or just require more memory? (for the 64-bit fp, for example, it requires 2 register of 32-bit).

Oh...now I see what do you mean as "right click". Well, tried to find Windows Media Center window, but can't find it. Do you know where can I catch it?

What I'd like to do is get which file/parameter is called after WINLOGO+ALT+INVIO (which open windows media center). Can I do this with Spy++? Can't right-click on WMC...

comment Is there a sort of SVN for files from laptop and external HD?
"What this does mean though is that for any files you manage via SVN you will have at least two copies on your local system, one in the repository store, and one in the checkout directories." : yeah, but that's the backup! I still want files both on my HD and on my laptop :) So SVN will work I think...

I don't know what do you mean as "create local file". I mean : I need to check which folders/files has been added on laptop regard hd external (that is not always inserted on laptop, so the syncbackse tool won't work I think). Just, when I put the external hd, I'd like to do a sort of "commit" for update folders and files on external hd from laptop (where, as I said, I have the most recent updates). Can you help me?

That's I mean : it's hard sometimes check the conflicts and resolve it manually. That's why I like that lock, but it isn't automatically :(

comment How to prevent new edit on a not-committed-edited file
uhm...I don't know about merge. The problem is when I try to commit my local copy of a file that has been edited by another user. Example: I checkout it, I edit it (and I don't commit it). Meanwhile another user checkout it, edit it and commit it. Now, I can't commit my version. Merge can resolve this trouble?

comment Windows - A different way to Search files by extension
Example : I have a main Folder with : 10 Subfolder, 4 mp3 files, 3 jpg files and 3 doc! I'll like to see all files that aren't doc (so only the mp3 and the jpg ones) on the main Folder. I'd like to do somethings like -*.doc and a string that tell the search "don't show the folder". Is it more clear? :)
