comment Paste html into Excel 2010 without Excel parsing the html
this was a while ago - i'll try this next time although if i remember correctly this wouldn't have been much help for me since i was pasting multiple records. Having to paste each cell one at a time would have been very unpractical

If you mean in the wizard, already tried that. Besides, it's clearly not a delimiter issue. It's very obviously parsing the html. And As i said, it'll display <img> tags as the actual image. splitting up table cells into excel cells. So it's definitely trying to do something clever with the html. I just want it to paste everything as text and not try and do anything 'helpful' for me.

comment How do I switch users or log off from Windows 8? It's not under the shut down menu
actually, i found a problem with this hack - the sleep command does not work correctly. it puts the computer into hibernation instead of sleep

comment SVN - moving folders to the trunk
Oops, just noticed one small thing. When i open the repo browser from tortoise, in the root of my test copy repo it just shows trunk, tag and branch and all my project files are in the trunk folder - perfect. But when i log onto the server and open up the visual svn manager and browse to my test repo, it shows all the files/folders still in the root, along with copies in the trunk. Why is that? Can those files be deleted within visual svn or are they likely to cause any problems? Thanks again

comment SVN - moving folders to the trunk
the WC is in \users\me\documents\visual studio 2010\projects\myproject I just did a test run by making a new copy of the existing repo using the client method and it seems to have worked. So I'll just need to wait till I'm ready to commit my current changes to the repo and then I can make the move. Thanks.
