comment Fastest way to create a Shortcut ignoring drive mapping
Thanks, but it does not seem to work for me. When I drag and drop using the Right-click on the mouse, even to another folder, a different menu pops up, with, among other options, "Create shortcuts here". If I choose to create the shortcut, it uses the mapping drive. I'm getting the behaviour you'd like...

comment How to intentionally freeze my screen?
@laurent: The presentation has blinking elements. I mentioned "scripts" because I don't know whether the presentation is Flash or Javascript or something specific of Microsoft Sharepoint where the training platform is built on, all I know is it's in-browser.

comment Accidentally deleted python, python2, python2.7 files from /usr/bin/. Is it possible to recover them?
Wouldn't it be easier to just reinstall the lot?

comment Can I encrypt data in a way that it can be read normally but can't be copied or edited?
@Rich: What stops them from implanting a recorder in a tooth? You can make copying harder when you grant read access, but you can never make it impossible.
