comment How to get Windows 10 to understand Scheduled Tasks?
Windows 10 cannot seem to find either cscript or wscript (from your link). Is that something additional that needs to be installed?

comment How to Make Chrome Not Load Tabs Until They are Selected?
Interesting. Hopefully, my browser will fix itself. I'm a big fan of middle clicking 2 or 3 links in a search result and reading the first one while the others continue to load.

FYI: Chrome appears to do this now. I'm here searching for how to disable it.

comment Configure IIS in Windows 10 to allow access
It looks like IIS did not install correctly. I removed it, added it back, now it works. No reboot required.

comment Configure IIS in Windows 10 to allow access
IIS is running. The firewall now allows HTTP, but I still don't see how to open the IIS Manager. inetmgr should work, but does not.

@Jatin: I get Windows cannot find 'inetmgr'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

@Ƭᴇcʜιᴇ007, that post is Windows 7. Mine says Windows 10. Should I edit my post to put Windows 10 in bold?

@Jatin - that is the post I used to see how to get IIS installed. Notice my comment on there dated before before this. After installing IIS on Windows 10, how do you get to it?

I can probably make that solve my issue. Is there no way to get into the IIS settings on Windows 10 anymore?

comment How to create a $RECYCLE.BIN folder on external hard disk?
I'm returning the drive. It took 3 days to copy the data to it. I just didn't want to throw that time away, but it looks like I get to do it all again.

The PC is an Intel NUC. The drive is a Seagate External Storage USB drive. I'm thinking now that the drive is actually failing. If the USB cable is bumped, you can hear that Windows sound as it detects and loses a new device.

Exact error message: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR77 during a paging operation.

sfc /scannow will only run on the C: drive? This media drive is D:. I know how to edit step 2. Windows is not installed on it, so I'm guessing step 3 is irrelevant. It could just be the drive is failing.

comment Finding the cause of “Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed”
I've got a new Acer PC here at work that they want me to uninstall all of the bloat-ware that Acer put on there. Every freakin' one of them is throwing up that message, and they have never even been run before. What a PITA, rebooting after uninstalling every one. It looks like there are 20 or so I have to do.

comment Seagate NAS 4000TB drive only shows up as 1677.90 GB
Hey, if I create 2 2TB volumes out of this 4TB drive, would the older doc recognize them or would it still have issues?

Thanks! You are absolutely correct. I have 2 different USB docs. One is an older model that would only read 2TB. My newer dock correctly shows the drive as 4TB. Never would have thought of that!

@rakslice: Device properties say "Generic External USB Device" and "This device is working properly." There are other tabs too, but too much info to write it all. What are you looking for? Updated main question with picture from Volumes tab.

@RonMaupin - no RAID. This is just a bare drive plugged up to a USB dock.
