comment My home box as my own host?
@Farseeker, our own human Rolodex. You are human, right? Or are you Evan's twin? Which one is the evil one? Do you bleed milk?

comment Network connection through a wall
@BCS You have a point there! =) Let me clarify, is 512bit TLS enough for you? It could be done. VPN over WiFi ala SonicWall's habit of doing things. Add in some microwave dishes and a '74 Buick as a generator and you've got yourself a par-tay! =)

@BCS You can make it secure enough for government standards, as reliable as wired (plus backhoes, saws or hammers won't come into play), and well over a GBit with the right equipment.

Super! Glad it worked out. You can upvote a question and also mark it as the answer so others know what worked. =)

comment Check if my laptop can support SATA 3.0g/s
I was under the impression that the OP was asking if his laptop supported SATA II and not the hard drive: " I'm wondering how can I check if it's SATA II compatible." The crucial word being "it's" -- is "it" the hard drive or is "it" the laptop. Hmmm...

comment Why doesn't my front Audio jack work?
That's poor form on Asus's part. I guess you know 1) Which manufacturer not to use next time, and 2) What questions to ask before you commit to a motherboard. Boo, Asus.

Thanks... I didn't know how to do that until about 30 seconds after I read the question. It's amazing what just clicking around will do for a person. =)

comment Periodically reboot dd-wrt
I saw chatter on the web about scheduled reboot not working, but the entry for that bug in dd-wrt's Trac site was closed as having been fixed. Do you have the latest version?

comment can somebody from my VPN see my screen, if yes how to stop this?
Omu, they have to install something first... but even so they could install it "on the fly" and uninstall it immediately as well. DameWare's Mini Remote control does just that. Tell us more about your situation because our collective "Spidey Sense" is making us uncomfortable.

comment How to start XP in Safe Mode
Hello Nick! Great to have you on ServerFault, but I think this question would be better served over at SuperUser. With any luck, a mod will move it there.

comment How to disable sticky keys
The fact that you don't have access.cpl or an Accessibility Options in your copy of XP worries me more. Is this a legal copy? Are you in a domain environment?

Did you read the manual? That info shouldn't be too deeply hidden.
