comment Is there a Chrome extension to set the window title
But would it change the window title as well, and is it event driven, so it would be computed every time the tab changed?

comment Networking Basics: How Do VPNs Route Traffic Without A Default Gateway?
@GregG Checking the routing table as suggested in my answer will give you an idea. Any address of the form 192.168.8.x will go through your regular network.

comment Is there a Chrome extension to set the window title
@gronostaj .Thanks for the tip, however I am using named profiles in Firefox, and the addons allow some browser variables to be used. which include the Profile names. Little profile pictures won't help me much. And I have scripts which search and work on the windows with the correct titles. I am adding an image to the question to give an idea of what I mean

comment Where is the about:config box in Thunderbird 17?
@Vadi It is confusing as there is a General tab selectable by an icon in the main Edit Preferences page. But after you click on the Advanced tab on the main Edit Preferences there is an additional tab set there, the first of which is General. That is where the Config Editor is

comment How can a Greasemonkey script dynamically change the permitted URIs of other Greasemonkey scripts?
I was hoping it was possible via Greasemonkey. I will search some more and if there isn't a regular Firefox extension capable of that I will create one myself. From my last work on a Greasemonkey script I noticed that Greasemonkey detects changes to a script even if it wasn't opened from the Greasemonkey dialog.

comment How can a Greasemonkey script dynamically change the permitted URIs of other Greasemonkey scripts?
Hi Brock :), it is equivalent to adding or removing a web URI from the pages a Greasemonkey extension is enabled for, ie adjusting the URIs in the @include lines dynamically with a single click, without having to go into the Grease monkey preferences to change it there. I will edit the question to explain it better.

comment Is there a way to copy the Ubuntu desktop menu or parts of it between computers?
Aren't there any user files in the user's home directories? I thought that menu files customised by a user will be in the user's home directory.

comment How do you launch an SSH connection with port forwarding without interrupting your screen access?
I think I have to explain myself better. It is all being done from the same window/screen automatically. I shouldn't have to switch to another Window or screen. Both the SSH command and the Mysql command should run from the same command line without switching.

To solve my immediate needs I installed the NoScript addon, and I am surprised at how much needless Javascript hampers my browsing experience.
